ACAD CMS
A headless CMS that lets a student association edit its whole website without code.
Source code (opens in a new tab)No public deployment
The problem
The ACAD website needed news, events, documents, opportunities and team pages that non-developers can keep up to date, and a gradual migration away from the site's original database.
What was built
- Strapi 5 content types for articles, events, gallery albums, documents, opportunities, team members, governing bodies and partners, consumed by the website over the REST API.
- A site-configuration single type with structured fields for navigation, footer, homepage, page copy and theme, so most of the site can change without a deploy.
- Bootstrap code that grants public read-only access to exactly those content types.
- Cloudinary as upload provider when credentials are present, with local storage as a fallback; the website falls back to the legacy database while the CMS is offline.
